Crisis

If you or someone’s safety is at immediate risk or if emergency medical care is needed:

  • DIAL 911.
  • Contact UMBC Police at ext. 5-5555 (on campus), 410-455-5555 (off campus)
  • Go to your nearest hospital emergency room. The closest hospital to campus is St. Agnes Hospital.

When the Counseling Center is closed, you still have access to support

If you have mental health concerns outside of regular business hours and wish to speak with someone from our After-Hours Support Line, please call 410-455-3230. The support line is available to support students experiencing a mental health crisis, health issues, sexual assault or relationship violence.The Counseling Center is available by phone Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.,  to support students experiencing a mental health crisis, health issues, or dealing with a sexual assault or relationship violence.
